Rainmaker Results: How Willing Are You?

How to be a Rainmaker: Mini Course Introduction

As we get closer and prepare for the next SEORainmaker seminar, Jerry West and I are pulling together all of the tools, thinking, strategies and tactics that we use everyday with our businesses and clients. It is more than just a few neat tricks, tips and techniques. Being a rainmaker is much bigger than that. So over the next few weeks, I’ll be posting to give you a glimpse of what is covered.

*****

Step 1: Establish Your Personal Willingness Baseline

Rule 1: If you can’t see something, you can’t change it.

Too many times we “think” our business is going well. And then, all of the sudden, the unimaginable occurs.

  • We are short on cash.
  • The computer dies.
  • A customer becomes unmanageable.
  • Employees quit
  • _________ fill in the blank.

Now what?!?!??

The question, that I pose to you is:

  • Did you see it coming?
  • Could you see it coming?
  • Did you ignore the signs?
  • Even if you did see this situation coming, did you position yourself against it?
  • Did you have prevention measures in?
  • Have you been in this situation before?
  • Are you just not willing to do what is necessary to handle this situation in your life.

It comes down to: What are you willing to do?

That is not a question of ability. It is a question of willingness.

Too many times, we see what we want to see and not what is there to see. Simple statement. Huge implications for your business and life.

Ask any business owner about…

  • cash flow
  • profits
  • losses
  • lead flow
  • deal flow

Most don’t know what to look for, guard against or make provisions for. And then when they find out what to do, they do not do the actions to handle the situations that confront businesses everyday.

If you get the proper information and training, you will:

  • know what to look for,
  • see what you need to handle
  • execute the proper action at the right time
  • achieve the desired results

But first, you need a baseline for who you are right now. In a way, find out your “willingness index”

That’s right. Establishing your personal baseline is part of success. Knowing what you will do and won’t do is the basis for your success.

Want to move forward? Here is the first step…

Take the Motivational Factor Index Assessment.

Text Link: http://www.webmarketingnow.com/coaching/mfi.html

This is a baseline motivational test that is designed to let you know “who you are” instead of “who you think you are”. Once you know who you really are you’ll have an around what you are willing to do. And, thus make better decisions.

Being honest with yourself will allow you to face your business situations better knowing what you will and won’t do.

This is step one of becoming a Rainmaker. Seeing what is there and not there.

The next step is reserving your seat. We are starting to roll out the promotion now for SEORainmaker and we are seating only 30 forward thinking business owners. Check out the site to see if you qualify.

Go and take the test now.

It will help you think through the next several posts.

Take care and let know what you think…

More on the way,
