What is the internet?

So what is the internet? I was listening to the radio yesterday. And, one of the callers said the that internet is “out of hand”. This statement really got me to thinking about the what is the internet. Not how it works. That is a question of mechanics.

 

But, the question of why it works. 

 

The internet is a communication media. The internet is not an an entity. The internet is us. The internet is a means of communicating and moving information between computers. But, if you take a step back, Computers don’t communicate. People communicate with the use of tools like the computer and the internet.

 

So what is the internet? It is a media of communication that is facilitated by the use of computer networks.

 

Knowing and understanding the fundamentals is key to your success in using any tool. The interest is a communication facilitation tool.
