What do we share most? What is that thing that we can't get out of our mind most? What carries us to other times in our lives?

The answer is music.

Check out the rise of the ipod. Look at what makes a good movie great. You will find that music is the underpinning of much of our emotional response. This company entered the market with music and then kept moving.

Obviously, I am studying music as it relates to business development and emotional response. As I was doing my research, I came across this video of the IPod release.

The innovation sequencing is incredible. This is a great example of product and service integration.

  • Time
  • Capacity
  • Price
  • Size
  • Speed to Load
  • Recharge Time
  • Convenience
  • Ultra Portable
  • Proprietary Network

None of this is outside of the scope of even the smallest business or project. It only takes a moment to stop think and consider what you can do with the resources that you have at your disposal. How can you do to faster? Reduce the size? Produce more for less?

Look at what IPod has evolved to today. The iPhone which is another significant innovation.

I am looking at the product, marketing and consumer sequence and how that might apply to business. I think this this is one of the all time great case studies.

What do you think?

iPods are a great tool. There are so many applications for it's use, to make you personally and professionally more productive. I need a new one as mine died back in April.
