Marketing - Working With Real Business Owners in Hopkinsville

The wonders of good PR. Last month, I had an article in Black Enterprise Magazine. Late last month, the event planner for the Chamber Of Commerce Of Hopkinsville saw the article and asked me to speak at an event. Of course I accepted and gave what I think was my best talk about how to use the internet to increase business, lead generation tactics and what I call “Monday morning actions”.

The talk was about an hour and a half. I was not rushed at all. And from the feedback that I have gotten thus far, the information was well received. This was such a different talk than the ones that I have given within the internet marketing segment. The goal was not to “pitch” but to give good solid action-able information to the listeners.

A few other observations, the folks there are very interested in learning what to do with their business.

Most of them own the dreaded “brick and mortar” business. Thus, adding the internet as an additional way to increase lead flow is truly another media not the only media like in the internet marketing space.

Unlike, in the internet marketing space where the internet is all that is talked about and discussed as a media for communication. There is life off of the web and these “real business owners” know and understand this.

I assess the these off-line business owners will do very well in increasing their revenues in the coming months. They are not held motionless trying to learn the newest trick or technique nor are they looking in awe at the latest “internet marketing guru”. What a contrast!

I was just at The System Seminar last weekend and having these two seminars in the span of 7 days was really an eye opener.

Different attitudes from the promoters. And the attendees too.

David Bullock Henry Snorton - Hopkinsville Chamber Of CommerceThis was fun not at all tiring, no stress and no pressure. Just one business owner talking to other business owners.

In fact, it was a lot of fun and I think I helped a few people.

Here’s a picture I took with the VP of Business Development.

Wow. I have to say.

I had a really good time doing this talk and look forward to doing this type of talk again. Thanks Henry for the call.

Til Next Time…
