Blogging, Public Identity and Bad Marketing

I love blogging and the internet. Why?

Nothing can go unnoticed. Your reputation and identity is in fully public view.

Blogging is community based on an ongoing conversation, communication and trust.

Case in point…The Power Of Blogging

BTW: Simon, Great Blog. Your thinking is provocative.

The Original Post was titled If You Blog, Be Original This is so true. The internet and blogging is about the exchange of ideas and the development of new thinking. Why would you read a blog that has no meaningful content or personality. New thinking, observations and significant help are what people want and need.

Here is the beauty of the internet and blogging as it relates to marketing.

I am always paying attention to the links coming into my blog and when my name is being used online.

And I found a comment that was not true.

But guess what… it is out there and it can’t be taken back. So what do I do. Blog about it.

Now that it is out there. Those of you who have listened to any of my talks will immediately see that the statement of “who taught who” and notice a slight discrepancy.

Dr. James Kowalick my teacher, mentor and friend is who I give credit for my “Taguchi-TRIZ” learnings.

I speak about his marketing and testing lessons all the time and I continue to learn from him to this day.

So the lesson here is to pay attention to who is talking about you out there. Any gossip in the marketplace is a form of marketing and should be paid attention to.

Today, I understand the power of the blogging.

When blogging always be…

  • Meaningful
  • Truthful
  • Relevant
  • Significant
  • Original

Best Regards,

David Bullock
