It seems like my role is always changing.
These days I am working as a Manufacturing Automation and Robotics Advisor.
I was given the opportunity to speak to one of the largest mutual fund managers in the United States about changes in the robotic industry and how automation is affecting manufacturing globally.
As most of you know, I spent over ten years in the robotics industry working initially as a field process engineer and finally as an international accounts manager (remote sales). Then for two years after I left the company, I sold over 50 robots in the used secondary market. And at one point, my group controlled over 200 used robots for resell.
From designing systems to selling in the aftermarket, I have seen it all from the inside out.
The Lesson – You never know when your "previous life experiences" will come into play. Every experience has a purpose.
Best to you,
David Bullock – Robotic and Manufacturing Automation Advisor
