What is business all about?
The essence of entrepreneurship is about meaning.
Wow… that is a powerful idea. Guy Kawasaki articulates this so well.
The keys to starting a great organization are not found in the amount of money that is to be made. It is about the meaning of the organization in the greater society. How will what you are doing change the world as we know it? How will what you are doing add value to the world at large. The idea of making money is very much at the core of many business owners. But the underlying question revolves around meaning, purpose and value to the marketplace.

David- I agree with Guy. The real question is how your business will change the world. After many years in corporate America I decided to leave and start my own company focused on helping leaders of all size companies rapidly increase performance and profit. To me this is at the core of business because profit gives leaders the choices they need to make to fulfill their dreams and make a difference. When companies are profitable they hire people and that’s what fuels the economy and in turn this great nation. It’s not the money. It’s what the the money allows leaders to do for society.
